Dr. Robyn L. Brouer
Dr. Robyn L. Brouer is the Ben May Endowed Professor of Management at the University of South Alabama's Mitchell College of Business. With over 30 publications, her research focuses on individual differences, leadership, social influence, and person-environment fit. Dr. Brouer is currently working on projects exploring artificial intelligence in the selection process, the impact of mega threats on employee well-being, and the role the imposter phenomenon and psychological entitlement in the workplace. Her work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Leadership Quarterly, and Personality and Individual Differences. Her work has won the Best Paper Award for the Journal of Management and other accolades.
She is writing a book on social influence and co-editing a special issue of the Journal
of Management Scientific Reports on leadership science. She serves on the editorial
board of Academy of Management Perspectives. She just finished a three year term on
the Southern Management Association Board and will co-chair a paper track for the
2025 conference.
She has consulted with for-profit, not-for-profit, small and large companies in matters
of strategy, employee well-being and engagement, sexual harassment, leadership, and
more.
